Elevate your New York Rangers Memorabilia collection with the Eddie Giacomin Collectors Card Print!

Eddie Giacomin thrilled New York Rangers fans for many seasons with superb goaltending. Ed began his NHL career in 1965 at the age of 26 after having spent two years in a midnight industrial league and seven seasons in the minors. Giacomin justified his place in the NHL by being named an All-Star five times. He also won the Vezina Trophy in 1971 in tandem with Gilles Villemure for having the league's lowest goals against average that year. Giacomin finished the last two years of his career with the Detroit Red Wings. Giacomin was known as a durable goalie, making acrobatic saves and often leaving his crease to retrieve the puck and pass it to his forwards. He posted a fine 2.82 goals against average for his career and had 54 shutouts in 610 career regular season games.
