Selected third overall by the Canucks in 1999, he led the team in scoring six times, including 112 points in 2010 to lead the entire NHL. Sedin won the Hart Trophy as MVP that season and was named a 1st Team All-Star twice before retiring in 2018 as the franchise leader with 830 assists and 1070 points. He helped Sweden win the 2006 Olympic gold medal, as well as the 2013 World Championship title.
